AI-Origin

AI-Origin is an interactive experience built around a Macintosh learning to recognize handwritten digits — a narrative that runs parallel to the actual history of neural network development. Participants manipulate pixel grayscale values to understand how a model sees, witness training iterations unfold in augmented reality, and validate accuracy through hands-on testing. The sequence is designed so that each step only makes sense after the previous one — understanding is earned, not given. The design philosophy rejects passive observation: you don't watch the birth of AI, you participate in it.
